2. Car Pick up

We decided to make the pick up a family affair, so my wife drove the rental van that would transport the parts and my 2 kids and I pulled a rented car trailer in my truck.  It was a LOOONG, HOT, day.  It was about 95 degrees in Hackensack, NJ where I picked  the car up.  We left NH at about 8:30 AM and didn't get home and unloaded until about 11 PM.  I saved myself $600-$700 by not having the car shipped, but it was a stressful day!

The car came with a ton of new replacement parts and of course the built 455.  Go here to see an itemized list of what came with the car.  I think I did pretty well, I paid $8,000 for everything but there is a LOT of work to be done!  This will be the only reference to costs for this build...to protect the innocent and my marriage!
