The purpose of this site it to chronologically detail the build of my 1969 Firebird.  The "Build Blog" portion of this site will track my progess and will contain detailed pictures and descriptions. 

The build will be "Pro-Touring" style including a modified 455 engine, lowered and upgraded suspension, aftermarket subframe with rack & pinion steering, disk brakes, Tremec TKO-600 5 spd transmission, custom 18" wheels, and a Ford 9" rearend to handle the estimated 525 hp engine output.  Beyond the driveline & suspension modifications, the car will also have 1969 TransAm body components including a fiberglass T/A hood, fender scoops, and rear spoiler.  For paint it will have TransAm striping, but the main color will be Tungsten Gray Clearcoat Metallic with Satin Silver stripes and Satin Silver tail panel.
